There are quite a few things that are interesting, including new parameters for one of my favorite parameters, Server_Restricted.

SPR# MIAS8A2HUH - Server_restricted=1 does not prevent local replication. Added server_restricted=3 and server_restricted=4 which act like setting 1 and 2, but also block all replication that is not coming from an ID for an adminstrator.

And I wonder if this one will fix the business card disappearance in Sametime?

SPR# DWHD8GSRL9 - Resolved an issue around use of Business Card causing out of memory exceptions in the Notes Client. Fixed in 8.5.2 FP3. Potential work around for non FP3 users is to make sure users using the Business Card are in Profiles.

Hold it a sec. Let me just get my soap box out for a second and climb on.

Do the work. Install the fixpack.  For every fix that they talk about, there's prolly a fix they didn't talk about.  Get it installed on a small proof-of-concept server to make sure it doesn't blow anything up.  Then extend it to production.  They call them "fix packs" for a reason.  No skipping.

Soap box has been put away.  I now return to doing development work which is already in progress.

That's right, I'm doing Dev and have been doing it almost non-stop for a few weeks now.

You'll want to make sure that you install FP3 as the same user that did the last LN Install:

"File xxx.nsf does not exist" error thrown when multi-user Notes client is launched after installing 8.5.2 Fix Pack 3"

Thank you for the comments, Jesper and Sam. It's issues like this that make me try a FP out first on a proof-of-concept server and not in production.

Looks like the problem is related to the Forms85.nsf-database...

Markus Wottrich writes (in the thread mentioned I linked to) that he was able to get things working via the FP2-version of Forms85.nsf, whereas I had to go to the version from the FF4-hotfix (iNotesHF_v8.52FP2_401.8HF6.zip).

An issue I found with FP3:

If you have a Lotus application where the users in the Access Control List have "Replicate or Copy Documents" set to Disabled, they can no longer print a form.

When I uninstall FP3 and install FP2, the print function works. Uninstalling FP3 fixes the problem. This is repeatable for us.

No special code, just using the File - Print option, the user gets the message that he is not allowed to Copy or replicate.

8.5.2.3 doesn't play well with Traveler, see 8.5.2.3 IF1

I have done a lot of Traveler implementations over the last couple of months. It's helpful to be reminded of the fix central stuff.

I installed FP3 over FP2. But our IT require me roll back to FP2.

I am not able to find FP3 uninstall entry from appwiz.cpl, and I try executing FP3 setup package again but it neither bring me to uninstall option.

How can I uninstall FP3?
