Speaking at Admin2010 in Boston.

I was officially notified that I'll be speaking at Admin2010 in Boston this year. It's one of those 2 in one conferences, with the Developer 2010 conference coexisting along side. There is one admission for the two conferences. Dev folks can come on over and experience the wonderful world of Notes/Domino Administration. The conference starts on May 12th but there's a Jumpstart day on May 11th.
I'll be doing a 3 hour Jumpstart titled: All roads lead to Roam — Everything you need to know about rolling out the roaming user experience. You read that right. It's a 3 hour extravaganza, I will be covering all the details behind how to make this feature work for you.
Did you know that IBM/Lotus has stated that using the roaming user capabilities is an ideal way to roll out users? That's because it handles so many of the mundane parts about user setup and maintenance. Couple that with the ID Vault, which I will show off during demos, and you have an easy to manage environment with zero sneaker-netting to user workstations to set them up. ZERO! I personally can't believe that anyone wouldn't use a multi-user Notes install, the ID vault, and the roaming user.
My demo environment is very reproducible too, so you'll leave the Jumpstart with the ability to build yourself a test environment to show everyone on the team how it works.
I'll be showing it all, May 11th in Boston.
Plus, I have these little gems to finish writing so that I can give the sessions by the time May rolls around:
- Lotus lockdown -- Notes client security in 8.5
- Admin aspirin — Reduce performance headaches through proper domain monitoring
- Getting the message out: Best practices for managing and maintaining Notes mail
- Best practices for efficient server clustering
- Using policies to maximize your domain’s configuration and overall Notes performance
Admin2010 - be there or be square.
Fortunately, I can do both!
- Andy
