Head in a blender

Back in the US - adjusting priorities and catching up

I'm shaking the cobwebs out of my head.  I was able to sleep a lot of the way on the home from Amsterdam.  But still, even though I am up and around at 9 AM after turning in at around 11, I can still feel a big jet laggy.  Doesn't help that it is a rainy day in Philadelphia.

For the last hour, I've been picking through emails, looking at things I need to follow up on or deliver.  Faced with all the stack of work in the queue, I've decided to post a couple of blog entries first.  How's that for priorities?

Let me start by saying that the Admin 2008 Europe was a top-notch affair.  We achieved at 100% approval rating for both the Admin and Developers conferences.  That means 100% of the evaluators stated that they would recommend the conference to their friends.  I am very happy that you all found it to be such a successful conference.

We found that well over half of the attendees had either already upgraded to some form of Lotus Notes/Domino Release 8, or they were in progress with the upgrade.  Almost all the rest were planning an upgrade within the next 6 months.

I also met a regular attendee who was preparing to migrate a newly acquired company into the Notes/Domino space.  The new company is currently using Exchange.   Yes, those Exchange to Notes migrations are still happening!

Chris Miller and I had a blast doing a Social Networking Birds of a Feather.  Chris really expanded everyone's viewpoint on the topic and it looks like we were quite successful, as we both have seen an increase in activity on Twitter followers.

All in all, a splendid time was had by all.
