Workaround not working

The workaround of adding a new Desktop Settings Policy document is not working.  It might work for other settings, but not for the replication schedule or for configuring to use local mail is overwritten by configuration to use server based mail.

My client is currently considering the following dilemma.  Should they postpone the upgrade until this is fixed or should they give up the ability to use Descktop Policies.  They like the policies a lot.  I have a feeling this means putting off the upgrade for a few weeks.

That would be OK with me if we get a fix for the issue.  If I understood how the desktop policy settings document worked a little better I could probably fix it.  I'm just concerned I'd break something else.
